Suzuki Just Cut the Price of Its 2027 GSX-S1000 Streetfighter

Suzuki's 2027 GSX-S1000 keeps its 151-hp, GSX-R-derived inline-four and Brembo brakes, now at a lower $10,798. Here's what Suzuki has confirmed.

Naked bikes have crept up in price for years, so this one is worth flagging: in its 2027 model announcement on September 15, Suzuki gave the GSX-S1000 a "new price adjustment," bringing the flagship streetfighter to $10,798 plus destination.

The engine is the point

Suzuki builds the GSX-S1000 around a 999cc inline-four derived from its GSX-R1000 superbike, not a separate, detuned street motor. That's why the numbers — 151 hp at 11,000 rpm and 106 Nm at 9,250 rpm — read closer to a sportbike than most naked bikes at this price. From the side you can see how much of the bike is engine: the short, sculpted muffler tucked under the engine, the tank and winged radiator shrouds wrapped tight around it. For a four-wheeled take on rally-bred power, see the Kimera EVO37 auction.

KYB up front, Brembo on the brakes

The chassis is where the price looks like a mistake. Up front sits a fully adjustable inverted KYB fork — the gold tubes you can see behind the stacked LED headlights — with a link-type rear shock behind. Stopping comes from Brembo Monobloc four-piston calipers on dual 310mm floating discs, the kind of hardware many rivals only fit on pricier trims.

The TFT dash and the electronics

A 5-inch color TFT display runs the show, and it's clear and uncluttered: rev bar across the top, gear, traction control level and riding mode on the right. Behind it sits Suzuki's Intelligent Ride System — riding modes, traction control, a bi-directional quickshifter and ride-by-wire throttle.

Colors and price

Suzuki's 2027 configurator shows the GSX-S1000 in Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Triton Blue, and its spec sheet also lists Candy Daring Red. Black is the stealth option, blue is the heritage one, red is the loudest.

At 472 lbs curb weight and a 31.9-inch seat height, it sits mid-class on both. The real story is what $10,798 now buys: a superbike-derived engine, KYB suspension and Brembo brakes at a price most of the segment has left behind. That makes it worth cross-shopping even against bikes with flashier electronics.
